My Story
Michael Orozco was appointed in October 2018 by the Dallas County Commissioners’ Court to fill the vacated and unexpired term for the Office of Dallas County Constable Precinct 5. On October 15, 2018, Mr. Orozco was sworn into office, bringing with him over 20 years of law enforcement experience in the constable’s office.
Having worked in every division of the Constable’s Office, i.e., from the execution of criminal and civil process, eviction proceedings, collection of judgments, truancy courts, mental health attachments, criminal warrants, and serving as bailiff to the justice of the peace courts, Mr. Orozco brings forth his working knowledge and experience to each of these tasks.
Michael Orozco has earned the Civil Process Proficiency Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (T.C.O.L.E.) and has earned and maintained over the years, the following State of Texas licenses: Master Peace Officer; Advanced Peace Officer; Intermediate Peace Officer; and Basic Peace Officer.
Michael Orozco has proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves and, at the conclusion of his military service, received an Honorable Discharge.
A Dallas County native who was born and raised in East Dallas, Mr. Orozco graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and currently serves on the Woodrow Wilson Alumni Association Board. Mr. Orozco also earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Management.
Michael Orozco is a dedicated community and family member. The father of two children, Michael is the son of Richard Orozco, Sr., a retired Chief Deputy Constable, who served Dallas County for nearly 40 years of dedicated service.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Mr. Orozco will bring and maintain a department that is efficient, transparent, and professional, creating and maintaining a close symbiotic relationship with the constituents of Dallas County and Dallas County government as a whole.
The Dallas County Constable’s Offices are law enforcement agencies. These departments handle, but are not limited to, the execution and service of criminal and civil process; the eviction process; collection of judgments under court order; truancy court issues; mental health attachments; criminal and civil attachments/warrants; and statutorily serving as bailiff to the justice of the peace courts.
